Baseline priority
Current gameplay discussion repeatedly lists attack, defense and HP before moving into PvP-specific resistance or damage lines. Ranger players also keep returning to evasion as a survival requirement.
Arena: what to expect
Arena sits inside the Battlefield window — the official Steam screenshot for that panel shows arena score, rank and time remaining, and Thai launch footage notes the battlefield unlocking early in stage progression. The fight itself is not a twitch duel you steer frame by frame: launch streams show combat resolving through visible accuracy, block and miss rolls while the players watch.
Entries are rationed. Two launch streamers independently describe a small daily ticket allowance — two or three per day — topped up by a shop item both call the Gladiator’s Contract. They disagree on the fine print: the EP1 streamer reads the panel as three entries a day by default and five a day with the contract active across its seven-day expiration, while the Brazilian day-one streamer says the contract he bought handed him ten extra tickets plus an unlocked arena-skip function. Either way, arena attempts are a daily budget, and one item enlarges it.
What the arena pays
| Arena fact (player-reported) | Detail |
|---|---|
| Daily entries | Two or three tickets per day baseline; Gladiator’s Contract adds more |
| Per-match payout | Around 1,000 points whether you win or lose — “same either way” per one streamer |
| First participation | A rune, awarded the first time you enter |
| Ranking rewards | Runes again; one streamer reports two runes around the 70% bracket on day one |
| Season end | A countdown, then score distributed according to your qualification |
| Where to spend | The ether shop inside the battlefield consumes accumulated battle points |
The economy is the part launch players noticed most. The Indonesian streamer repeats that a match pays about 1,000 points win or lose, banks roughly 20,000 points from twenty entries, and spends the lot on a pet box that rolls him a 5% pet. The Brazilian streamer points out the ether shop hides inside the arena screen and consumes the points your battle history generates. Runes are the other currency: first participation hands you one, ranking rewards pay more, and his one-line summary is that runes are PvP — if you want runes, you go to the arena. Wings follow the same reward-family logic from the World Boss side (world-boss-wings).
Matchmaking tightens with rank, player-reported: the Brazilian streamer warns that as you climb, the game stops offering weak opponents — his own climb ended with him “only taking beatings” — and opponent entries do not display the enemy’s class, with a separate duel-style list behaving the same way.
PvP stat priorities
The EP2 streamer restates his training order three separate times during arena talk, and it never changes: attack, defense and HP first, then the PvE lines (boss damage, damage taken), with PvP-related stats last — “optional unless PvP” is his phrasing. The nuance is that the game tracks PvE and PvP as separate stat families: his own panel read separates PvE defense from PvP defense, and a Thai launch streamer walks through 30-day pass items where an Arena-themed bundle carries PvP damage dealt, PvP damage-taken reduction, and arena tickets in one purchase (training-ground).
Class survival stats carry straight over from PvE: HP% for the knight, evasion for the ranger (knight-build, ranger-build). Evasion is the interesting one in PvP — the visible miss rolls mean a heavily evasive ranger can blank an opponent’s damage outright, which is why the same stat works as both survival and, in the arena, offense. Those block and miss rolls also imply accuracy has an arena niche, though the most detailed Ranger tester says he does not run accuracy himself (class-comparison).
Arena FAQ
- Do I lose anything for losing? Player-reported, no: the payout was described as identical win or lose, roughly 1,000 points a match.
- How do I get more entries? The daily reset plus the Gladiator’s Contract shop item. Streams disagree on whether it converts you to five entries a day or grants a batch of extra tickets; one adds that it unlocks a skip function.
- What is the arena currency? Battle points, spent at the ether shop inside the battlefield, and runes, which come from first participation and ranking rewards.
- When does the season pay out? After the on-screen countdown ends; score is then distributed by qualification. No verified payout schedule exists yet.
Do not copy a PvP build blindly
The game is only days into Early Access and the official developer notes explicitly say balance and economy will be refined with player feedback. A static “best PvP build” is therefore a weak promise.
Better question
Ask: What is killing me? If you die before casting/attacking, fix survival. If you survive but time out, then shift toward offense.
